‘MATLAB’ computing software: A boom for mathematicians

K.R. Mangalam University conducted a National Workshop on computing software ‘MATLAB’ on Friday 18th March 2016. The workshop was organized by Department of Mathematics, School of Basic and Applied Sciences. Dr. Vivek Kumar Aggarwal, Delhi Technical University (DTU), Dr. Ashok Jangid, Dayalbagh educational Institute, Agra and Dr. Phool Singh, The Northcap University, were the resource person.

Also present on the occasion were Prof. Subash Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor, KRMU, Gp. Capt. P Mahajan, Registrar and Deans of all the schools. Prof. Gupta addressed the participants and said “We at KRMU are committed to provide our students best of industry exposure and ensure to keep our students updated about latest technological developments. Through this workshop we aim to provide knowledge about the MATLAB computing software.”

Students from IIT, Delhi, SGT University, North Cap University, GGS IP University, GITM, and students from other school of KRMU participated in the workshop.

The workshop focussed on Matrix Laboratory, a high level language which can be used for analysing data, developing algorithms and create models and applications. The students had first-hand experience of theory and laboratory in application of MATLAB.

Dr. Anoop Vashisth, Dr Ravendra Singh and Dr. Anupama Dixit co-ordinated the workshop which concluded with vote of thanks by Prof. V.K. Syal, Dean SBAS and felicitation of the guests.
