Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the SERB, DST sponsored research project entitled, “Kinetic Theory of Electrostatic Waves in Dusty Plasmas" under the supervision of Dr. Jyotsna Sharma (Principal Investigator), Department of Physics, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Sohna Road, Gurgaon.
Eligibility :- At least 55% in M.Sc./M.Phil(Physics/Applied physics) with plasma physics as one of the paper during M.Sc./M.Phil.The upper age limit is35 years (5 years relaxation for Women/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates as per Govt. ofIndia rules & Regulations).
Desirable Qualifications :- Valid GATE Score/UGC NET-CSIR qualified. Research experience in the area of Plasma physics and working knowledge of MATLAB or similar computational /graphic packages shall be preferred. Knowledge of C++ programming and PIC simulations shall be an advantage.
Fellowship :- The fellowship will be given as per DST (SERB) Rules: Rs. 25,000/-+ HRAper month (Consolidated) for initial two years and Rs. 28,000/-+ HRAper month (Consolidated) for third year.
Tenure :- The project is initially for a period of 3 years. This position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
