Workshop on Industry based competency for the Built Environment sector

Department of Civil Engineering, SOET has organized aWorkshop on “Industry based competency for the Built Environment sector" by Mr. V Paul Charlesraj on 8th September 2017 in which final year students of Civil Engineering Department and fourth year students of School of Architecture & Planning have participated. The workshop started with welcome speech given by Civil Engineering final year student AyushMendiretta.

Mr. V Paul is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and presently serving as an Associate Professor of Construction in the School of Construction at the RICS School of Built Environment, Noida, Delhi,NCR. Mr. Paul is also a supervisor, counsellor and assessor for RICS Assessment of Professional Competencies (APC). He has 20 years of rich experience in the built environment practice and academia. He is a Civil Engineer with specialization in Construction Engineering and Management.

Mr. V Paul started his lecture with presenting an overview of the Project Planning. He discussed in detail the need for the same and explained how project planning is crucial component in the socio-economic progress of the society, country and the progress of the particular organization He also introduced us with the different techniques for the project planning and high endlatest advancements in the same.

To sum up, his lecture was full of valuable Knowledge and information about the Project Management. Dr. AnjuBala, HOD Civil Engineering thanked Mr. V Paul for enhancing knowledge of the students and the faculty members.
