Amazon India Fashion Week AW17 on16 March 2017

School of Fashion organized an educational visitfor their students in ‘Amazon India Fashion Week AW'17, in associationwith the Fashion Design Council of India at JawaharLalNehru Stadium, New Delhi on 16 March 2017. 2nd& 4th Semester studentsof School of Fashion along with faculty membersMs.Sapna Singh, Ms.VidhiMadhra, Mr.NeerajKumar,Dr.Kumar RajyavardhanandMr.CharuChander Pathakvisited the FDCI Show.

FDCI is the fulcrum for activities that have been supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Textiles and Gujarat State Khadi and Village Industries Board. Its prime objective is to propagate the business of fashion in India and universe by adding resplendent flair in the form of coveted fashion weeks. It has spearheaded heady collaborations with different countries/their fashion bodies for an interchange of designers, created a new breed of supermodels, as it hunts for fashion connoisseurs whose handcrafted joys have made a place in the world's fashion dictionary.

FDCI is great platform for the existing and upcoming designers for showcasing their idea, innovation, creation in front of media and public from where they get feedback on their collections. During the visit students coordinated with designers and learnt about stage coordination, costume coordination, themes, colors of the season, style line of the season and others. It was great experienced for them. Students sawa small glimpse of the Indonesian Fashion at the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2017, courtesy designer NovitaYunus as well.NY, by Yunus, is a premium brand of Batik Chic, created under the framework of 2013 Indonesia Fashion Forward program of Jakarta Fashion Week 2014.Her collection, titled 'Bumi-Langit,' prepared for Amazon India Fashion Week 2017, is inspired by the idea of balancing color palettes of the autumn leaves and cold winter sky.

After the event students got opportunity to interact with Designers, Models and other students from India and abroad. .
