One Day Workshop on “Video Production” Organized by ZIMA

Fourth-semester students of School of Journalism and Mass Communication, K.R. Mangalam Universityparticipated in a one day workshop on “Video Production” organized by ZIMA (Zee Institute of Media and Arts) on Tuesday 14th February, 2017. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Vikrant Kishore, who is a Media Academic and Filmmaker and professor in RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Kishore is a member of international professional and cultural bodies like Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR, India), International Dance Council (CID-UNESCO), Consultancy Development Centre (CDC-INDIA), and ANCT-France.Dr. Kishore has more than 25 documentaries, and corporate films to his credit. His documentaries on ‘Chhau Dance’ have been screened in various international film festivals.

Dr. Vikrant Kishore discussed about various camera shots and angles, various stages of video production, various equipment used in video production, and the career aspects in video production. Students asked questions related to the topics and were answered by Dr. Kishore. Dr. Kishore also showed his book “From Real to Reel” which was published by UNESCO and he also showed some clips of his movies and discussed its key elements in context of video production.

Prof. (Dr.) AmbrishSaxena, Academic Head, ZIMA, and Mr. MehrajDubey, Marketing Head, Zee Network shared their views and suggestions regarding the topic of the workshop and motivated the participants to learn the nuances and emphasized upon the practical aspect of the same. The workshop concluded with the certificate distribution to the participants.
