Biography

She has been teaching Physics for 10 years now. She joined K.R. Mangalam University in Sept., 2014. She is taking classes of B.Sc., B. Tech. and M.Sc. She is the incharge of “Science Society” of the university. She is also a member of “School Research Committee” for the Ph. D programme. She is mentoring a Ph. D. student also whose field of research is: “Study of Instabilities in Plasmas”.

In addition to her teaching assignments she organizes various conferences, seminars, industrial visits etc. for the students as well as coordinates several co-curricular activities of college such as Convocation function, Founder’s day, Annual day, Youth festival and Induction Programme. In recognition of excellent teaching skills and significant contributions in other professional activities, she was bestowed with “Best Teacher Award” in 2011 by KIIT College of Engineering.

She is not only a good teacher but also an excellent researcher. She has about 8 year’s research experience in the field of plasma physics & dusty plasmas. Her determination to succeed has led to excel in her research work which is evident from the fact that she has published more than 18 research papers in referred International Journals like “Physics of Plasmas” and “Journal of Plasma Physics”. She had been to Texas, USA (visit was fully funded by Organizers) in Jan. 2016, Spain in July, 2013 (visit was fully funded by DST, India) and Singapore in Dec., 2013 (visit was funded by CSIR, India) to present research papers in International Conferences “ICPIG-2013” & “ICPSA 2013” respectively. She has good understanding of the subject area of her research and has a deep commitment for research to carry out advanced research independently.

She has received a research project entitled “Kinetic theory of Electrostatic waves in dusty plasmas” by SERB, DST, India,in December, 2016 (under the scheme of ‘Extra Mural Award’ of Rs. 22 Lacs).
