Biography

Dr. Renuka Rajora hails from House number 39, Pocket D-14, Sector 7, Rohini New Delhi. After receiving M.Pharm from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, Rajora joined CSIR-CDRI Lucknow to carry out research work that focus Formulation design and characterization (nano and micro deli very systems), pharmacokinetics & biodistribution, Toxicology, cell biology as well as radiopharmaceuticals. Her research is concerned with the optimal design and evaluation of nanoparticles drug delivery systems designed to target drugs to and via the colon and other tissues. Effects of physical, chemical and formulation factors are studied, as well as the impact of the nanoparticles formulated device. These factors are all related to our ability to deliver drugs by oral intravenous delivery and target them to specific diseases. Nanoparticles are characterized and evaluated in terms of particle size, shape, physical form and drug release characteristics in vitro and in vivo.

She has scientific knowledge and hands-on training in HPLC systems and various software related to it, Differential, Scanning Colorimeter (Perkin Elmer), Thermo gravimetric analyzer (Perkin Elmer), Bohlin Viscometer, Malvern Zetasizer, Ultracentrifuge, Mastersizer Animal handling (Mice, Nude mice, rat, guinea pigs and Rabbit) by participated in Scientific and Technical Awareness Programme on Animal Experimentation Program No. STAP-2/LAD/MARCH conducted by Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India, and biochemical studies (ELISA), imaging techniques (Confocal microscopy, Flow cytometry, scanning electron microscopy and Transmission electron microscopy) and Toxicity studies (Including Histopathological and Genotoxicity studies) with experience of working in both academic and research environment.

She has got different awards like CSIR travel grant to present research work in Bologna, Italy, travel grant by Bioencapsulation Research Group to present research work in Bratislava, Slovakia and travel grant for participating for oral presentation in the SIPRA INNOVATIVE PHARMA RESEARCH AWARD “A National level symposium on Hydrabed, India. She has posted several presentations and and secured 2nd position in 13th APTI convection held at Bilaspur (2008), Present a Poster on 13th National Convention of society of Pharmacognosy (2009),  Poster  presentation  on  emerging  trends  in  pharmaceutical education and research at Adina institute of pharmaceutical sciences, Sagar (M.P) (2009),  Present  a  Poster  on  5th International  Symposium  on  Drug  Development  for  Orphan/ Neglected Diseases at the CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow from 26th to 28thFeb, Toxicological evaluation and Targeting Tumor Cells through Folic Acid modified Guar Gum Nanoparticles of curcumin. She is currently serving as Assistant professor, School of Medical & Allied Sciences, KR Mangalam University.
