Traffic Awareness Campaign
The Legal Aid Society of School of Law, K.R. Mangalam University organized second “Traffic Awareness programme” in Gurugram to curb the traffic violation on the roads and to impart of knowledge
about traffic rules to people.26 students of School of Law accompanied by Dr. KavitaChawla and Mr. S. K. Bose conducted the Traffic Awareness campaign at the intersection of St. Xaviers School, Sector 49, Gurugram on 15 February, 2018 between 11:00am to 12:30pm.
The students from School of Law, KRMUwith banners and literature in their hands, sensitized the violators to put on seat belts or wear helmets or move back from the zebra lines at signals. The volunteers explained the traffic rules to the commuters and also distributed pamphlets raising awareness about provision of free legal aid provided by the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987.
Traffic Police officials, who were on duty, also helped in the legal aid and appreciated the effort of the students of School of Law, KRMU.
The legal aid event was conducted under the “Connect to Serve” campaign of the District Legal Service Authority, Gurugram. The traffic awareness programme was a huge success and students were appreciated by commuters and the traffic police at the intersection.
