Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality education and training in IoT, Embedded Systems, and Smart Technologies, integrating hands-on experience with industry-relevant applications. The role includes teaching, curriculum development, mentorship, research, and industry collaboration to enhance students’ employability and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Training:
- Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate courses in IoT, Embedded Systems, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Edge Computing.
- Deliver hands-on training using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, STM32, ARM Cortex, and other microcontrollers.
- Guide students in IoT-based real-world projects, from prototyping to implementation.
Curriculum Development:
- Design and update courses with the latest advancements in IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee, LoRa, 5G, BLE) and Embedded System design.
- Integrate capstone projects, hardware prototyping, and industry-led case studies into the curriculum.
Industry Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Guide students in IoT hackathons, embedded system competitions, and open-source contributions.
- Build partnerships with IoT startups, research labs, and industry leaders for internships and placements.
- Organize guest lectures, workshops, and hands-on IoT bootcamps with industry experts.
Research & Development:
- Encourage students to publish in IoT and Embedded Systems conferences, IEEE/ACM journals, and tech forums.
- Stay updated with emerging AI-powered IoT, Edge AI, Digital Twin, and Smart City applications.
Professional Development & Administration:
- Engage in faculty development programs, IoT certifications, and embedded systems training.
- Support university accreditation, departmental initiatives, and research-driven projects.
Qualifications
Essential:
- M.Tech/M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electronics, IoT, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IoT, Embedded Systems, or related technical training.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, ARM Cortex, and embedded C programming.
- Knowledge of IoT security, cloud integration (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT), and industrial IoT applications.
Preferred:
- Industry experience in IoT product development, smart systems, or edge computing solutions.
- Experience with AIoT (AI-powered IoT), predictive maintenance, and automation.
- Track record of publishing in reputed IoT/Embedded Systems journals and securing research grants.
- Certifications in IoT, Embedded Systems, or Industrial Automation (ARM, Cisco IoT, AWS IoT, etc.).
Skills & Competencies
Required:
- Expertise in IoT architecture, embedded programming (C/C++/Python), and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols (Zigbee, LoRa, NB-IoT, BLE, 5G).
- Hands-on experience with IoT data analytics, MQTT, CoAP, and cloud platforms.
- Excellent communication and ability to deliver interactive technical training.
Desirable:
- Experience in hardware security, cryptography in IoT, and blockchain-based IoT solutions.
- Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System) for IoT robotics.
- Experience in developing IoT applications using AI and Edge AI technologies.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, and FPGA programming for embedded applications.
