Job Overview:

K.R. Mangalam University is seeking a skilled Event Photographer to capture high-quality images of university events, including academic ceremonies, cultural programs, sports meet, and student activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio in event photography, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

We need a photographer with experience in event pre-planning, lighting assessment, and scene setup. They should be able to:

• Assess the Venue – Check natural and artificial lighting, space constraints, and ideal camera angles.
• Plan the Setup – Suggest lighting adjustments, stage positioning, and backdrop designs.
• Coordinate with the Tech Team – Work with sound, lighting, and event coordinators to ensure optimal conditions.
• Run Pre-Event Tests – Do trial shots to finalize camera settings and correct any lighting issues before the event.
• Capture professional, high-resolution photographs of university events.
• Work closely with the marketing and media teams to document key moments.
• Edit and enhance photos for promotional use across digital and print media.
• Maintain and organize photography equipment and archives.
• Ensure timely delivery of edited images.
• Collaborate with university departments to fulfill specific photography needs.
• Adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual style.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in event photography with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in photography equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in photography, visual arts, or a related field.
• Experience in academic or corporate event photography.
