An e-poster making competition on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day was organised on 8th September 2020 (Wednesday) by the Department of Physiotherapy, SMAS and SBAS.
World Physiotherapy Day is celebrated internationally every year and this year, the Theme was ‘Rehabilitation and Covid’.
The activity was conducted with all the first year students of Group 1, second year students of BPT and senior students from SBAS.
The competition was conducted online on MS Teams platform. 34 students and 12 faculty members were present for the activity.
An introduction to the occasion and theme was given by Ms. Mamta Shankar from the Department of Physiotherapy.
Instructions and rules were explained to the participants. The competition was divided into two parts-
- Theme 1 (specific): Rehab and Covid
- Theme 2 (general): Health during the Pandemic
A total of 10 entries were received- 5 from each Theme. The entries were judged by Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Kumar, Dean, SMAS. First and second winners were announced for each theme.

While the results were being evaluated, Dr. Ruby Jindal (SMAS) interacted with the students and got their feedback regarding the session. Dr. Seema Raj delivered the vote of thanks.
The response of the students was very positive as they participated enthusiastically in the competition. They displayed their creativity and knowledge in making beautiful and informative posters.
The inter-disciplinary involvement was also appreciable as students from different streams participated in the event.
