Guest Lecture in SOLS by Mr. Anil, Deputy Director, Competition Commission of India – 2nd November 2018 School of Legal Studies, K. R. Mangalam University organized a guest lecture on ‘Overview and Issues of Competition Act, 2002’ on 2nd November 2018 delivered by Mr. Anil, Deputy Director, Competition Commission of India. The lecture was attended by 3rd– 5th Year students BBA/BA/B.Com LLB (H) and 2nd and 3rd students of LLB (H). School of Legal Studies organized an Educational Visit to the National Company Law Tribunal and National Company Appellate Law Tribunal, New Delhi on 31st October, 2018 for the students of BBA LLB (H) IX Semester and LLB (H) III Semester. The fourth year students of School of Legal Studies of K R Mangalam University attended the National Lok Adalat held on 8 September, 2018 in the District Court, Gurugram. The Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of District Legal Service Authority, Gurugram, Shri Narender Singh, met and briefed the students about the working of Lok Adalat. The Hon’ble Judge traced the history of Lok Adalats, originating from panchayats in village to the present system. In this interaction the CJM encouraged the students to attend more of such proceedings for better understanding of law.

The Legal Aid Society of School of Law, K.R. Mangalam University organized second “Traffic Awareness programme” in Gurugram to curb the traffic violation on the roads and to impart of knowledge about traffic rules to people.26 students of School of Law accompanied by Dr. KavitaChawla and Mr. S. K.R.Mangalam University conducted a workshop on "Soft Skills and Aptitude for Placement Enhancement" in the seminar hall. Mr.Pankaj Aggarwal, President and CEO , BridgeIntelia Solutions and Mr. Vishal Gupta , Senior Manager ,were the resource persons. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students from various disciplines attended the same. They learnt various techniques to pass through different channels of recruitment process. They participated in various activities and took a mock interview test for the placement. It was a true eye opening and learning experience for the students.

Dr Shekhar Dhawan, District & Sessions Judge, Gurgaon gave his inaugural address and Sessions Judges, Advocates, Professors and students participated with enthusiasm and vigour. Students of the School of Law performed a skit on evil of dowry, which was appreciated by one and all. Ms Suruchi Atreja Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate proposed the vote of thanks.
