ASEAN-India Research Training Fellow joins KRMU

Ms. Jayze da Cunha Xavier a Research Scholar from Department of Biological Chemistry, Regional University of Cariri-URCA,Brazil has joined K.R. Mangalam university as as ASEAN-India Research Training Fellow under the Scheme of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

She has been selected under ‘Research Training Fellowship for developing Country scientists (RTF-DCS)’. This program offers scholarship by the Government of India to researchers from developing countries. She was selected for the six-month fellowship.

She is working on the Research Project entitled "Spectroscopic charactherization, antimicrobial activity and in silico studies of synthetic chalcones". The research project will evaluate bioavailability chalcones, establish the structure activity relationship of the molecules. Ms. Jayze da Cunha Xavier is working under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Kumar, Dean, School of Medical and Allied Sciences, K. R. Mangalam University.
