The 3rd Legal Aid and Financial Awareness Camp was organized on 4th March 2020 in village-Alipur, Gurugram by the students of School of Legal Studies and School of Commerce & Management. Students interacted with the villagers and tried to understand their knowledge about various schemes run by the government and difficulties faced by the beneficiaries of this scheme.
The students made the villagers aware about the various government schemes and their rights thereto. Besides this, they also made them aware about the consumer protection rights, right to information, rights of the arrested person and free legal aid. The faculty and students also discussed about the menace of female feticide, importance of girl child and her education, right to education, BetiBachao- BetiPadhao, Sukanya SamridhiYojna and similar other schemes run by the government especially for women.
Students guided them in best possible manner and suggested solutions for their problems. A brief survey was conducted by the students of School of Legal Studies on Free Legal Aid. It was a great learning experience for both students as well as for teachers.
