national FDP on innovative teaching & learning practices

The School of Humanities conducted a National Level one-day online Faculty development Programme on 17th July 2020, with an objective of enriching the knowledge of teachers and educators by exposing them to new and innovative pedagogy.
The theme of the FDP was “Innovative Teaching & learning Practices”. The participants included school teachers, college professors, research scholars and aspiring educators.
The speakers included academicians, industry experts & training coaches. Ms. Shivangi Narula, a Learning & Development trainer conducted the session on ‘Experiential Learning’ and highlighted the importance of facilitation and interactive teaching. The programme also involved a hands-on learning session on “Powerful Review of Literature using Mendeley and e-resources”. The final session was taken by Dr. Maninder Singh Khalsa, a certified trainer and development facilitator, who talked about best practices in a virtual instructor led session to ensure engagement and effective online classes.
It was an interactive platform which generated deliberations on important topics. The FDP received an overwhelming response with 65 participants. Ms. Richa Agarwal and Ms. Manisha Nayyar conceptualized and organized the programme on behalf of the school.
