Students’ Online Discussion on ‘Consequences of Lockdown: Pros and Cons’ organized by SBAS

School of Basic and Applied Sciences organized a debate competition on ‘Consequences of Lockdown: Pros and Cons’ on 18th May 2020. Six students participated in the discussion: Devika from BSc Mathematics, Chanderkanta from BSc physics, Kartik from BSc physics, Ashu from BSc Chemistry, Inzamam from BSc physics and Shital from BSc physics participated in the discussion.
The students discussed about the positive and negative aspects of the lockdown. They discussed the effects of lockdown on the environment that how the nature is healing itself, how we can spend quality time with our family members, how crime rates and robbery etc have decreased during this lockdown. Also discussed negative aspects like how daily wagers are suffering because they are not getting any job and any work to do, they want to migrate, but they are not getting proper transport, also how animals and poor people are dying due to hunger etc.
It was an informative and learning experience for the students and other attendees. Dr Ruby Jindal and Dr. Nidhi Kaur, faculty members, SBAS mentored the students.
