SJMC organized Online Master Class on ‘What's Big Idea for Ad film Making’ and ‘Celebrity PR’

School of Journalism and Mass Communication organized online master class by Prof. Pijush Dutta, Program Director, and Associate Professor, AIMC on ‘What's Big Idea for Ad film Making’ and Dr. Jaya Srivastava, Assistant Professor, AIMC on ‘Celebrity PR’ on 14-15th April 2020.

Prof. Dutta has over 20 years Industry experience in reputed advertising agencies, as 'Creative Director' with Publicis, Mudra DDB, R K Swamy / BBDO, Bozell.Has also worked in Dentsu Inc, (Tokyo) Japan and Saatchi (Kuwait).He has over 10 years of experience in teaching and is also a regular guest faculty in reputed colleges of Delhi University.He had recently won 'Global Teachers Awards -2018' by AKS worldwide among 24 countries. Prof Dutta in his session discussed the concept of The Big Idea, Tagline, Branding and shared case study of Samsung. He gave examples and showed some ad films to the students.

Dr. Jaya is PR Professional and has worked in a well-known PR agency. Her area of specialisation includes Public Relations/ Corporate Communications, Media Theory & Research. She has published papers in various National and International Journals including Galaxy - International Multidisciplinary Research Journal, Communicator - Journal by Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Communication Today.

Dr. Jaya spoke on ‘Celebrity PR’. She explained how celebrity PR is managed, its importance and who are the key stakeholders in the process. She also shared job opportunities in this area.

The online session was attended by second and final year students of BA(JMC) and all the faculty members. Both the sessions were well organized and fruitful for the students. The students were inquisitive and clarified their doubts on the topics.
