School of Journalism and Mass Communication, K.R. Mangalam University conducted one-week Revision cum Induction Programme for 12th class students from 8th to 13th June 2020. Around 30 students from different schools of Delhi and Gurugram participated in the session including Summer Fields School, ITBP Public School, Shriram's Macro Vision School Raver, Vidya Bharati School, K.R. Mangalam World School.
The Programme started with introductory remarks by Prof.(Dr.) Kiran Bala, Dean, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Grooming class with Ms Shikha Kukreja, Assistant Professor, JIMS, GGSIPU and Common Entrance Test overview by Dr Manasvi Maheshwari, Assistant Professor, SJMC.
The second day of the programme included a session on Print Journalism by Ms Radhika Bhirana, Hindustan Times, Media Aptitude Session by Ms Shikha Sharma, Assistant Professor, SJMC and Logical Reasoning by Ms Mehak Pandit, Assistant Professor, SJMC.
The Revision cum Induction Programme also focused on giving technical exposure to students by a session on Television Journalism by Mr Sushil Yati,Delhi University, Workshop on Film Making by Ms Shikha Sharma, Assistant Professor, SJMC and Radio Jockeying by Ms Mehak Pandit, Assistant Professor, SJMC.
Further sessions included Scopeof Digital Media by Ms Ritika Saxena, Assistant Professor, SJMC, English Language and Comprehension and General Awareness session. The programme also included a special segment where participants were given opportunities to interact with Media Professionals for giving them the insight of how things function in the media Industry.
The one week program was informative and learning experience for all the participants who got to know about the media course and industry in nutshell.
