Workshop on "How to Prepare For Net Exam": SBAS

A webinar on “How to prepare for NET exam” was organized by School of Basic and Applied Science department on 21st August 2020.

The purpose of the webinar was to motivate the students for cracking CSIR – NET exam, to deliver all the information regarding this exam and to provide them proper guidance after completing their post – graduation and to clear all the doubts. As most of the students do not have complete knowledge, proper direction about their future. Most of the time they are confused.

Dr. Neeraj Kumari, Assistant Professor, Chemistry, started the webinar and instructed the students about some basic points of CSIR – NET exam, difference between CSIR – NET and UGC – NET, the pattern of exam, subsidies after qualifying the exam. She explained the importance of JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) which is important for students if they want to enrol in Ph. D. and NET which is necessary for the post of Professor in any university. She focused on important topics of Chemistry from NET exam point which were decided by marks distributed on the basis of previous NET exam papers.

Dr. Nidhi Gaur, Assistant Professor, Physics, further proceeded the webinar where she facilitated the students about some common terms of Physics. She explained each topic of Physics very well by suggesting the name of some reference books so that students can prepare for the exam. She suggested the students not to attempt wrong question in any situation.

Ms. Sandeep Kumari, Assistant Professor, Mathematics, described all the important concepts for Mathematics students. She highlighted some important units such as real algebra and linear analysis which is of more than 100 marks and suggested the students not to skip these two units. She told cut off the NET exam based on December 2019 results.
