Young Chef Competition was organized on the 5th July 2020 by School of Hotel Management & Catering Technology. It was probably for the first time that this kind of an event was organized through an online mode. The participants along with their partners had to cook in their respective homes. Class XII students participated in this competition and chose their friends from class XII as their partners. The entire duration of the preparation was live and were connected by the MS Teams app, hence, the judges were able to see the preparation there and then. The competition was judged by Chef Ishmeet Kapoor (Nestlé R&D Centre), Chef Ashish Massey (GM Hospitality) and Prof. M. P. Verma (Dean, School of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, K.R. Mangalam University).
The event was sponsored by Maggi Noodles of Nestlé India Ltd. The participants had to prepare any one dish with Maggi being the main ingredient. The winners along with first & second runners up teams were given cash prize.
