The Orientation Program for new NSS volunteers was organised by NSS K.R Mangalam University on 15th October 2020. The theme of this event was “Showcase your Hidden talent”. Dr. Anil Kumar, NSS Co-ordinator of Bharti Vidhyapeeth College of Engineering, New Delhi and Prof. Pushplata Tripathi, Registrar & Pro Vice – Chancellor, K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram were the chief guests. More than 50 participants were present in the event including faculties and guests.

Anisha and Chavvi welcomed the new volunteers, students and the chief guest Dr. Anil Kumar and Prof. Pushplata Tripathi. The students gave brief introduction of work done by NSS Team for the betterment of society through a small video and power point presentation followed by sharing the guidelines for the competition. Students participated in different events like dance, songs, speeches, mimicry, memes and poster making competition and showcased their different skills with full enthusiasm and zeal.

Damia Tyagi obtained first position, Akshina Khatri got second position and Powell was adjudged third position in dance and music category. Prakhar Srivastava won first position and Harsh Shokeen got second position in poetry, speech and in poster making category. Harsh won the memes/mimicry competition.

NSS Presidents Rishav Bhardwaz, Hema Vasistha and Sonam Yadav shared their wonderful experience and amazing NSS moments with all the newly inducted NSS volunteers. Chavvi Kaushik and Abhishek Kumar were awarded best volunteer award for their efforts. NSS Alumni Hema Vasistha and Sonam Yadav also awarded for their exemplary work and NSS President Rishav Bhardwaz was awarded outstanding volunteer award for his work as NSS Group Leader from 2018-2020. NSS coordinator Dr. Chandra Mohan appreciated all the participants and the team efforts of organising team for conducting the event successfully.

The event ended with vote of thanks from NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Vinod Kumar and NSS Member Dr. Neeraj Kumari who motivated students and encouraged students to take part in future events with the same zeal and enthusiasm.
