School of Journalism and Mass Communication organized an expert lecture by Dr. Samir Kapur, Sr. Vice President, ADFACTORS PR on 27th February 2018. Theme of the lecture was ‘Public Relations: Tools and Strategies’.

Dr.Samir has more than two decades of experience in the field of corporate communications, investor relations and strategic planning. Dr. Samir has serviced marquee clients such as Vodafone, MTS, PwC, Tata Group, Infosys, Singapore Airlines, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, General Motors, NDPL, Indo Rama, Times Internet, NDTV Convergence, ITDC, CRY, AMW, Amara Raja, and LML.
Dr.Samir discussed various concepts of PR and Communication with the students and explained major differences between Advertising and PR. He shared PR case studies of Coke, Nestle, and case studies of BJP’s election campaign in 2014 and Apple with special reference to social media campaigns.,

He is also a regular columnist in ‘The New Indian Express’, Tribune, and other leading newspapers. Dr.Samir Kapur has been recently bestowed with IPRCCA PR professional of the year Award.
The students were inquisitive thought out the session and they were able to comprehend live examples stated by the speaker. Students not only enthusiastically participated in question-answer session, but they gained professional insights regarding their queries about job opportunities and working environment in PR and Advertising.
