The topic of his talk was “Prospectus of agriculture in India” He is a renowned agronomist.
First of all I welcomed him and gave his introduction to the audiences. He talked about various types of agronomic zones of India. He told about
the different types of crops grown in various climatic zones of India. He talked how to increase the yield of food grains and double the income of farmers.
He discussed about the cultivation of cash crops and fodder crops also.
At the end of his talk, he told the future of students in the fields of plant protection after completion of agriculture degree. He said that they may posted in govt jobs as plant
protection officer, locust control officer, Plant protection inspector, inspector in SILOS and warehouses, in national and international private insecticide–pesticide companies,
public health departments. They can start their own entrepreneur like marketing and sale of insecticide-pesticides, bee keeping, rearing of silkworm for silk and lac insects for lac.
