LECTURE ON “BRAND COMMUNICATION THROUGH PR”

School of Journalism and Mass Communication organized a lecture on “Brand Communication Through PR” by Mr. Udit Joshi, an Integrated Marketing Communication Specialist from Topline Consulting Group on 27th August 2019. Mr. Udit has an experience of almost 12 Years in PR and Marketing.
Mr. Udit Joshi has won 2 Abbys (Goafest) and 18 Industry awards in over 10 years of Marketing and PR experience. He has serviced clients across varied domains including Engineering, E-commerce, IT / ITes, Healthcare, Automobiles, Indian Industry Associations, Telcos among others. Hold expertise in content influenced communication strategy. An avid practitioner of Brand Positioning.
Ms. Udit highlighted the value of content in media industry and said, “Content is King’. He stressed that the students stepping in media industry should understand how to get more value out of the content and the role of Public Relations in branding. He discussed that today communication has a wider role, from developing and implementing social media campaigns to the impact of marketing, media relations and internal communications.
Public Relations has become part and parcel of any business organizations and it is very important to develop positive relations and win trust of your target audience, media analysts, policymakers and policy influencers, customers and shareholders. He also shared the importance and art of building and managing relationships between companies and their customers, Enhancing the awareness understanding and commitment to a brand through public relations which is usually an essential part of any overall strategy aimed at sustaining and raising standards of performance and credibility. It was informative and learning experience for the students of School of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Education, School of Humanities and School of Fashion. Around 120 students from all the respective schools attended this lecture along with the faculty members.
