The duration of the course shall be for two academic years spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty working days in addition Practical Training - 500 Hrs (3 Months).
Pharmaceutics I / Pharmaceutical Chemistry I / Pharmacognosy I / Biochemistry & Clinical Pathology / Human Anatomy Physiology and Pathophysiology / Health Education and Community Pharmacy / Pharmaceutics II / Pharmaceutical Chemistry II / Pharmacology and Toxicology / Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence / Drug store and Business management / Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy.
The registered Pharmacist may work at pharmacy in Government Hospitals, Private Hospitals, Clinics, Community Health Centres or Private Drug Stores. They may even start their own Pharmacy shop (Entrepreneurship) and online Pharmacy. Pharmacist can also work as Medical sales Representative and as Manufacturing and Quality Control Chemist in Pharmaceutical Industries.
Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy: Pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. 10+2 examination in Science from recognized Board / Open School education system of the Central Government / State Governments Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.
