With a vision to expand clinical knowledge and skill set and to become more confident and resourceful, BPT, SMAS students visited Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, Vasant Kunj. They were accompanied by their teacher and mentor Dr Mamta Shankar.

Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISISC), Vasant Kunj is a multispecialty hospital and has a reputation of being one of the best rehabilitation centres in the city.

The students interacted with Dr Chitra Kataria, HOD and Principal of ISIC Institute of Rehabilitation. A stalwart in the physio world, Dr Chitra is also on board that constitutes the Ministry Handbook which is followed for Physiotherapy curriculum in colleges.

The students were given demonstrations of different equipment and tools vis-a vis hand rehab tools, virtual reality trainer, gait training using virtual reality, full size hydrotherapy pool etc.

It was a hands-on experience for our budding physiotherapists and for sure it will reinforce their theoretical concepts of the subject.
